Happy 98th Birthday Party Grandma Velma (from Saturday)

Happy 98th Birthday to my Grandma Velma! She was 98 years old Friday and Saturday we had a "little birthday party" for her at the nursing home. The girls and I (Daddy is at work) got dressed Saturday morning and headed to my Dad's for lunch. Thanks Dad for a WONDERFUL fattening lunch. It was delicious! Then, we headed on over to nursing home for the celebration. Justin and his sweet little family drove in from Mobile, Delo and some of her friends were there, my Dad and his friend, Randy and his girlfriend, and of course Grandma Velma. She looked beautiful as always all dressed up and with her jewelry on as usual. All the residents ate her birthday cake, had ice creams, soft drinks and sandwiches. Ava graced her presence with all there! The older ladies (and men) loved her! She ran up and down those halls laughing and smiling at the ones in wheelchairs. She really put a smile on everyone's face as did her big sister too who was chasing her around everywhere making her laugh and act silly. It took Ava about ONE minute to fall asleep once we got in the car for the ride home. And Mommy was worn slap out too from chasing the little girls!

Sunday was a lazy day at home and man was it a wild one! Ava was busy as bee running, playing, climbing, and whining all day wanting to be held! Presley was gone to her Dad's so Ava didn't have her big sister here to play with and stay entertained. I don't think I have ever been so excited to see a Monday morning and I was sure to tell the daycare they could have Ava if they wanted her! Ha!!!! They were fast to tell me that all Ava wants to do is be held! I said I know, that's why I'm so glad it's time to go back to work! They just laughed at me! Ava was sick all last week and is now just a little spoiled and thinks she should be held nonstop! No little one, that's not how it works! Mommy is busy! Daddy needs to hurry up and get this hitch over with and get home to us! I'll post a picture from Saturday at my Dad's of Ava's little "melt down" fits that she has started throwing latley.

It's Tuesday night and I just got done doing the elliptical. I have been telling myself for weeks that it is time to get this flab off of this body and ready for bikini weather! What better night to start it than Tuesday! The sad part is I only last SIX minutes! That is pathetic and I'm embarassed to say so but the truth hurts!!!!!!! I'm gonna work on this and build my time back up to twenty minutes and hopefully work my way REALLY up to thirty minutes! That thing is hard. And I really need to get that Ab Circle Pro out that I ordered weeks ago and only have done it three times! That's also very embarassing to admit. I'm gonna get started on that tomorrow if I can walk after doing the elliptical. Why can't we just eat what we want and all have perfect bikini bodies?????

Ava did better today at daycare and I'm thankful for this. Now is she will get back to playing by herself and being a good little girl for Mommy. She is sleeping AWESOME at night. My sweet little baby has slept ALL NIGHT for Mommy the last FIVE nights! Let's make tonight SIX please! I'm loving this. And I have my sweet little Presley sleeping with me while the husband is off at work. Life is great!

We started brushing Ava's teeth the other night and she thinks she is such a big girl now! She brushes them herself for a second and then hands it to Mommy to do for her. Also, the new toothbrush is GREAT entertainment while I am doing the HORRIFIC diaper changes that I dread so much these days because she turns and flips and flops and makes it IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

Ava's newest and cutest thing is when she hears my singing (ringing) she puts her hand up to her ear and says hello (in her own kinda hello language)! It's precious.
