Where did our Spring Weather Go??? Go away Winter!!!!

Seriously, where did the cold weather come from?!! We had snow flurries today! Isn't today, March 21st, the First Day of Spring, hello mother nature???? Go away snow and go away cold weather!!!!!!!!!! We have had so much fun this past week and this weekend with the warm beautiful sunshine shining down on us!! My girls love it!! And it sure makes Mommy feel much better! Below are some pictures of the girls and what we have been doing this month.

Ava loves to sit at their "little table" and be just like her big sister! And her other favorite is climbing up on the chairs and STANDING! Much to Mommy's dismay!!!!

Thursday we played outside after I got home from work. My husband was nice enough to surprise Presley and fixed her 4-wheeler for her that she got for Christmas TWO years ago and has rode it maybe twice! She is older now and is very much enjoying it! Kaylea was here playing with us and Houston also came down on his 4-wheeler. Ava got hungry and had her very first picnic supper outside in her highchair while the older kids were playing outside because they were surely not coming inside!!!

Presley and I (Ava was supposed to) have been having to go to pageant twice a week and be in the Picnic for the Garden Club so here is a picture of Presley dressed up in her dress. I'm not taking any pictures of me dressed up in that big ole hoop skirt thing! I am very much ready for these pageant nights to be over! We are 9:30 getting home on this nights because Presley always wants to stay and do Showboat too!! This time is way past Ava's bedtime and she was very GROUCHY the night we did take her and her Daddy had to take her out to the car! No performance for Ava! So, now it's just Presley and I!

My cute little Southern Belle!

These pictures were from Saturday while we were busy trying on our new Spring clothes! I couldn't get a picture of every outfit because Ava was not too happy and because Mommy was too busy trying to do Knocking Video for my sister, Deana so that she could see the new outfits! I can't wait for the girls to wear all their new clothes! So go away Winter and COME ON Spring and Summer!

Friday was THREE years since the Carney's had set my husband and I up!! Time has flown and it's been a wonderful three years! Thank you Chris and Catherine for having us over for supper that night! We have been together ever since!

Saturday was YARD DAY at the Knapp house! I am so excited that my flower beds are done (almost done)!! Are they ever really completely down??? I don't think so! I'll be working in them more in the weeks ahead and I'll post pictures when I'm done!

Beautiful Thursday

Yesterday was such a pretty day and after being cooped up inside all day during work I wanted to enjoy it! When I got off of work I went and picked up Kaylea so that she and Presley could play while Lacie had a meeting for work. Daddy and Ava were strolling in her little car thing so we made a day outside after work! My sweet hubby had fixed Presley's little 4-wheeler for her so she and Kaylea got to enjoy riding it in our yard and the neighbor's yard. Of course I'm very nervous they are going to flip it over even though it's on the lowest setting. Lori Beth and Houston came down to play! Houston was just precious on his little 4-wheeler!!  I'll post pictures when I get home later! Ava was hungry and was demanding supper NOW so she got to have her VERY FIRST little picnic supper outside in her highchair! She very much enjoyed this!! What a beautiful day! Kaylea spent the night with us and we all watched Princess and the Frog, but we got up and went to our room because Presley and Kaylea would not be quiet and let me watch so I gave up!!!! Guess Mommy will have to watch it by herself. Happy Friday everyone. I am off of work early today to go get our taxes done and get back home tonight so Presley can spend the night with a friend!

Monkey See. Monkey Do.

It has been weeks since the last time I blogged and I blame that all on Ava being sick, Daddy coming home from work, Spring Pilgrimage, Presley's Spring Break, and Mommy just way too busy to sit down and blog! Life is WONDERFULLY busy right now at the Knapp house! Ava was sick for weeks it seems like and I never thought I'd get the child better. Two days after finishing her antibiotic from being sick with an ear infection, hand foot and mouth, and thrush, she started running fever again that Saturday morning! We had JUST finished "pink medicine". I mean, come on sickness LEAVE my child!!! My inlaws were really worried about her and convinced me into taking her to the After Hours Clinic that Saturday. NEVER AGAIN I PROMISE!!! My mother in law even went with me which was WONDERFUL!!!! I was told Ava had an infiltration in the left middle lobe of her lung which pretty much means pneumonia, so I'm told. The weren't even going to look at her ears, nose, mouth, NOTHING! Just listened to her for a minute and chest xrays! I just wasn't believing this! My kid DID NOT have pneumonia! By the way, have you mothers out there ever had to wear that HEAVY HEAVY apron thing while the child gets xrayed?? Well, I did and I had to hold Ava while she stood screaming thru the xrays! I felt like I was NINE months pregnant and fighting a one year old screaming! I was panting when we were done! I thought it was just the same ear infection that had not cleared up so I was certain we would be going to "our pediatrician" on Monday morning to check this infiltration thing out so they called it! And so, we DID! No pneumonia, but Ava did have the same ear infection and also was wheezing when she coughed so we got new antibiotics, up-ed her Xyzal medicine, and started breathing treatments again! Which all worked!!!! She is all better and done with ALL MEDICINE! Thank you Jesus! Now, sickness, stay away for a while please! For a LONG while!

Monkey See Monkey Do is my title because I missed blogging for Ava turning FIFTEEN months on March 10th. She mimics (or tries to) everything we do! The other night I was pretending to run fast down the hall stomping my feet and here comes Ava in the hall stopped stomping her feet "hurrying" is what we call it and it's so FUNNY!!!!! Her Daddy and Presley laugh so hard at her! She is quite the character these days. She walks around the house growling and says BOO and HEY like she's talking on the phone when she hears mine ring! She says thank you in some sorta way. She loves to read books! I mean LOVES it! Insists on looks at our photo albums on the coffee table of their T.G. McCary pictures and our wedding pictures. She loves to play with the shape sorter! She is terrible about throwing food (gets in trouble at school I hear) and she can throw really well. She slaps in the face (only me) when she gets mad at me! She's tiny for her age! She is still only NINETEEN pounds! She goes next week for her FIFTEEN month checkup and I will post her "stats" then! The child has been NINETEEN pounds for MONTHS! She is really walking around GREAT. She's getting much faster and soon I'm thinking she'll be running all over the place. She loves sliding down her slide backwards which I guess is good because she lands on her feet and pops right back up! Her most favorite "thing" she is constantly saying is "uh uh uh" (however you spell it) and it drives me crazy! I'm like come on girl, spit it out! Talk to me, not uh uh uh!!!! Let's use WORDS!!!! She has gotten really good at pointing to her nose when asked and now she knows where her ears are (thanks to Daddy)! She's been slow learning this stuff! For months all she would do was point to her mouth everytime I said nose! Slow learner I guess! Lol!

Presley and I have been busy since Spring Pilgrimage started. We are doing the Pageant twice a week and don't get home until 9:30. I'll post pictures later of Presley dressed up! She LOVES doing this! I have been busy with Candle Light Dinners and Hostessing for my Garden Club duties! I'm sure my husband is ready to kill me for all my volunteering! But I just keep telling myself that it's ALMOST over!! Thank God!

I think Spring is finally here and we have really been enjoying the beautiful weather outside! Presley and Ava both love being outside and I do too as long as it's WARM! Go away winter, come on SUMMER time flip-flop, beach, pool weather!

So Glad to Have you Back my Sweet Little Baby...

Well hello Friday! So glad to see you FINALLY and so glad that you brought my sweet little baby Ava back around to her normal self. Since my last post about the little MONSTER Ava she has gotten back into her routine and has done remarkably well at home and at daycare. And I am one happy Mommy on this Friday! Thank you Jesus. Ava is really into reading her big sister's books this week. She walks around with this one book, Who Stole the Cookies, and also has a duck book of Presley's too, she sits down and reads to herself and then brings the book to me saying "uh uh uh" and holding the book up for me to read, so we sit down and she climbs up in my lap (or Presley's) and lets us read the WHOLE book. I am very impressed and love this newfound joy of hers! It's so sweet seeing Presley ready to Ava. I love it. I'll post a picture soon. It's a busy weekend in the Knapp house and our last weekend without Daddy! He comes home Wednesday night and I'm so excited! Have a great weekend.

Happy 98th Birthday Party Grandma Velma (from Saturday)

Happy 98th Birthday to my Grandma Velma! She was 98 years old Friday and Saturday we had a "little birthday party" for her at the nursing home. The girls and I (Daddy is at work) got dressed Saturday morning and headed to my Dad's for lunch. Thanks Dad for a WONDERFUL fattening lunch. It was delicious! Then, we headed on over to nursing home for the celebration. Justin and his sweet little family drove in from Mobile, Delo and some of her friends were there, my Dad and his friend, Randy and his girlfriend, and of course Grandma Velma. She looked beautiful as always all dressed up and with her jewelry on as usual. All the residents ate her birthday cake, had ice creams, soft drinks and sandwiches. Ava graced her presence with all there! The older ladies (and men) loved her! She ran up and down those halls laughing and smiling at the ones in wheelchairs. She really put a smile on everyone's face as did her big sister too who was chasing her around everywhere making her laugh and act silly. It took Ava about ONE minute to fall asleep once we got in the car for the ride home. And Mommy was worn slap out too from chasing the little girls!

Sunday was a lazy day at home and man was it a wild one! Ava was busy as bee running, playing, climbing, and whining all day wanting to be held! Presley was gone to her Dad's so Ava didn't have her big sister here to play with and stay entertained. I don't think I have ever been so excited to see a Monday morning and I was sure to tell the daycare they could have Ava if they wanted her! Ha!!!! They were fast to tell me that all Ava wants to do is be held! I said I know, that's why I'm so glad it's time to go back to work! They just laughed at me! Ava was sick all last week and is now just a little spoiled and thinks she should be held nonstop! No little one, that's not how it works! Mommy is busy! Daddy needs to hurry up and get this hitch over with and get home to us! I'll post a picture from Saturday at my Dad's of Ava's little "melt down" fits that she has started throwing latley.

It's Tuesday night and I just got done doing the elliptical. I have been telling myself for weeks that it is time to get this flab off of this body and ready for bikini weather! What better night to start it than Tuesday! The sad part is I only last SIX minutes! That is pathetic and I'm embarassed to say so but the truth hurts!!!!!!! I'm gonna work on this and build my time back up to twenty minutes and hopefully work my way REALLY up to thirty minutes! That thing is hard. And I really need to get that Ab Circle Pro out that I ordered weeks ago and only have done it three times! That's also very embarassing to admit. I'm gonna get started on that tomorrow if I can walk after doing the elliptical. Why can't we just eat what we want and all have perfect bikini bodies?????

Ava did better today at daycare and I'm thankful for this. Now is she will get back to playing by herself and being a good little girl for Mommy. She is sleeping AWESOME at night. My sweet little baby has slept ALL NIGHT for Mommy the last FIVE nights! Let's make tonight SIX please! I'm loving this. And I have my sweet little Presley sleeping with me while the husband is off at work. Life is great!

We started brushing Ava's teeth the other night and she thinks she is such a big girl now! She brushes them herself for a second and then hands it to Mommy to do for her. Also, the new toothbrush is GREAT entertainment while I am doing the HORRIFIC diaper changes that I dread so much these days because she turns and flips and flops and makes it IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

Ava's newest and cutest thing is when she hears my singing (ringing) she puts her hand up to her ear and says hello (in her own kinda hello language)! It's precious.
