Who is this Monster and Where is Ava????

Is is possible that the "terrible dreaded twos" can come a little early and possess my almost fifteen month old?!!!! Who is this monster and what happened to the sweet little baby Ava that used to just lay there and not move, not speak a sound and was just so laid back! Where did she go? Please come back! And come fast! As of late she has become this very active toddler that loves to climb, makes HUGE messes, slaps me, pulls her sisters hair out of her head, head butts me and laughs out loud, loves to be picked up pointing in every direction not even knowing what she wants or where she wants to go and when you put her down or don't pick her up she completely throws herself out on the floor, the HARD floor, and continues this AWFUL cry that absolutely KILLS the ears! Is this only the beginning of what is to come with the terrible twos that will soon be here?!!! If so, I'll think I'll run away now and come back when she's three or so! Any takers on this little monster????

Last night Kaylea spent the night with Presley and to my surprise the girls were very good and still are being pretty good this morning! Poor Kaylea is such a trooper being so bossed around by my six year old! Man, that kid is bossy and sometimes I wonder how the kid has any friends! Ha! What am I to do with this one? She does not listen, does not care what I say to her most of the time and pretty much does as she pleases and is terribly bossy and mean to her friends! Maybe I'm needing to do a little venting this morning since it's been a WILD one and it's only ten o'clock. Is it too early to start drinking???? Ha!

I guess I'll end with saying that my life is pretty eventful and very dramatic here at the Knapp house with house full of girls. Have a great Saturday everyone! Pictures to come later after our birthday party for my 98 year old great grandmother!

Sickness GOOOOOO Away!!!!!

Yesterday was quite eventful at our house with our sick little Ava. It started on Sunday when I noticed a white patch in her mouth along with the fever blister looking things in the corners of her mouth and some red dots on her bottom lip. We have had the Hand, Foot, Mouth thing before so I was certain that was the beginning of that nice sounding virus! No fever though! So before taking her daycare I wanted to swing by the doctor to be sure! I left for work and her Daddy and her waited at home until the appointment. He said she was VERY fussy. I met them at the doctor and instantly saw that look in her eyes that us Mommy's know...FEVER & SICKNESS so I was glad we were at the doctor! Her fever was 101.8 and her nose had started running more and the COUGH was coming back (wonderful)!!!! A trip to the doctor is ABSOLUTELY HORRIFYING with Ava. They learn very quick about the doctor and what all it entails. Ugh, I HATE it!!!! She instantly starts crying at the weigh and temperature checking station! Finally settles down in the room and in walks the doctor and she starts AGAIN! Ugh, how annoying!!!!! Anyways, Dr. Russ got her all checked out. Did not seem to think it was Hand, Foot, Mouth. Ava has an ear infection (only her third) and is cutting FOUR teeth! About time the child get some more teeth, but NOT four at one time! My gosh, no wonder she is pouring drool out of that mouth like a water faucet! I still think it's something more because Motrin apparently BURNS her mouth very bad! So, back to work I go after dropping off her presciption and Ava and Daddy go home. I go home to lunch to give medicine to bring her fever down! At four her Daddy calls me to COME HOME NOW! He says she is shaking and burning up! I come home to find a VERY sick little girl. And I'm thinking this could NOT possibly be just a dang ear infection! I call the doctor and they say blah, blah, blah, everything I already know to do! Her snot has tripled since leaving the doctor earlier, her cough is gross, she is drooling uncontrollable, her fever is so high all she can do is lay there, she is shaking, eyes glazed, red and bloodshot, IT IS JUST A VERY SAD sight and Mommy and Daddy are worried. Finally Motrin kicks in and she walks around some and is a little better!!! Two hours later the dang fever is BACK and she shivering like crazy! Can't give medicine so now I'm really worried. She falls to sleep and I cover her up warmly and the fever breaks at just about the same time when the medicine is due! Thank you GOD, you are a GREAT GOD!!!! She didn't sleep very well, but was looking much better this morning!!!!!! So relieved and happy to see my baby back to normal! Whew what a day!!!!!!! Hopefully next post will be on a happier note!!!!!

What a BUSY week gone BYE-BYE fast!!!

So much has happened since the last time I wrote! Mardi Gras has come and GONE, it SNOWED more than I have EVER seen it snow here and more than I have ever seen in MY life, and Valentine's 2010 has come and gone too!!!!! I'd say our snow day 2010 was our most fun event of the week! Presley and Ava had so much fun in the snow! I think A would have stayed out there longer if Mommy would have let her. Presley was so excited to build her VERY FIRST snowman ever and it was pretty big (I think so anyway)! We missed the day parade that day because Presley's Daddy came to get her and I stayed in my PJs all day and didn't want to go anywhere, but at least we did do the night parade the weekend before! Valentine's Day was pretty low key as usual at our house. I mean really it's Valentine's Day, what's so special about that day?!! I did get some pretty flowers and of course got the girls happies and they got balloons from the Grandparents. We had my nephew's birthday party that afternoon at the Indian Village and I was so happy because I got to see my brother and his family from Mobile and my sister and her boys from Lafayette!! It was FUN!!!

As you can see from the pictures now it is VERY difficult, VERY difficult to take pictures of Ava now! I need a SUPER DUPER fast camera ASAP! She is so busy and into everything that she does NOT have time for Mommy to be taking pictures!!!

Did I mention, how expensive paint is?!! We have decided to spruce up the house a little in hopes to see it in a year or two! We are starting with our bedroom and bath! And did I mention how hard it is to pick colors! There are some AWESOME colors out there that I LOVE!!! Thank you to my wonderful husband who will be doing the painting!!! Hope it turns out good and makes this Mommy happy!!

FOURTEEN months old TODAY!

Well, today Ava is fourteen months old and I really can't believe it! And her Daddy comes home today which makes for a GREAT day!!! I swear it really feels like I was just pregnant with her. Time is flying by and Mommy is a little sad. I don't want her to grow up so fast! I see so many changes in her everyday and it's all happening way TOO fast! Ava is walking around everywhere. Everyone says that she just looks too little to be walking and it can't be true. She weighs eighteen pounds, loves to talk, really thinks she knows what she is talking about too! She says bye-bye really good, hey, mama, dada, and tries to say baby when she is pointing to the pictures like Mommy does. It's hilarious! Her most favorite thing to do is EAT. She is such a pig, you would think she would be much bigger than she is! She takes one nap a day 11:30-2:00 and goes to bed in between 7:00-7:30. She's so easy to put down for bed and for naps now that she moved into the one year old room at school. She's so tired she doesn't feel like fighting it. She still doesn't sleep thru the night because she loses her passy or coughs. It's not bad though. She's getting better and she never really wakes up completely. Most mornings she's up by 5:30! She plays in her bed and plays her music on the monitor for Mommy to hear! From then she is full speed ahead most of the day and such a cutie pie! Oh, I adore her! She is so precious and so funny. Her new thing is moving her hair out of her face and it is so funny and cute! Thank you God for blessing me with two precious little girls and such a wonderful husband! Have a great day everyone!

What a great way to start the week! And my husband comes home Wednesday and it's Valentine's week!!!

Wow! That's all I really know to say this afternoon! I am still in awe and SHOCK that the Saints WON the SUPERBOWL! What a great game and how great is Drew Brees! I can't wait for football season to roll around again!

Yesterday we went to The Stephen's house for "A Saints Parade" and it was so fun. The kids had a blast and the sun even came OUT finally! Lacie and I watched the game at my house with all four kiddos and Lacie and I had a BLAST!!! Who Dat baby!

I will post pictures tonight of the parade and kiddos dressed up in their Saints attire!

Good Saturday Morning Bright and EARLY at the Knapp House!!!!

Good morning everyone! We have been up since FIVE this morning!! Doesn't Ava know on Saturdays we can sleep late! When will she ever learn this! Last night was Natchez's first Mardi Gras parade and Presley, Kaylea and Abby had a blast! It was just too short! We're hoping next Friday the day parade will be LONGER! Kaylea spent the night with us and the girls have been having fun playing in all of the beads this morning! I think I have found some entertainment for Ava while Mommy gets some things done around here! Why didn't I discover the bead thing months ago????

Happy Birthday Emily Claire and Happy Anniversary to Malcolm and my Mom!!! I think they've been married twenty one years or twenty two! My how time FLIES!!! I love you both!

Guess I better get off of here and prepare for Emily Claire's birthday party and maybe even take the kids to see Dora and Boots and the mall!

Is it Sunday yet???!!! We are so ready to see our SAINTS WIN the SUPERBOWL!!! Who Dat baby Who Dat!!!!

She is WALKING!!!!

Ava is WALKING!! First of all, she SLEPT all night last night without Mommy having to get up! The rain must have done the trick! I love to sleep in the rain and I guess Ava does too! So, after getting a good nights rest she began the morning walking around EVERYWHERE while I was getting dressed, so I guess you could say she is a WALKING girl now! I'm so excited for her because she is so excited that she can now get around like her BIG sister, Presley! You have to do lots of clapping for her while she walks because if you don't she starts clapping for herself as she walks and usually ends of falling! On the other hand, I'm not so excited because my "baby" is growing up. It seems like just yesterday that I was pregnant with her wondering if it was a boy or a girl. And now she is walking and talking (or thinks she is talking) and growing so super fast before my eyes that it makes me a little sad and definately gives me "baby fever" BAD! Can I pause this age??!!!! She is just so darn cute right now!
